Computer not updating daylight savings

It appears that the registry appears to have been altered by some other means (this part is under investigation but could include not completing 914387 or modifying TZ parameters with TZEdit, or potentially malware detection software). Open the Time/Date control panel applet and changing the time zone to a new time zone; hitting apply, and changing it back to the original time zone will often correct this problem. This provides confirmation the hotfix was applied, but seems to bypass the aspects involved which prevent the application of the hotfix. We changed to DST this last weekend and I just now noticed my pc clock didn't make the change.I went into the time settings and the automatic daylight savings button was greyed out and set to off.In the southern hemisphere, the changes are the opposite.Microsoft Windows has established an annual update schedule for Daylight Saving Time (DST) and Time Zone (TZ) releases. From time to time releases DST Cumulative Updates and Updates for Time Zone changes. If you have Windows Update set to ‘automatically install’, there is nothing you need to do, as this will give you a seamless transition to the new Daylight Savings Time and Time Zone settings.

But it won't stay changed, it keeps jumping back an hour after about an hour's time. Tried everyway I could to change it had to finally go into the registry and change the value data from 1 to 0.HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Current Control Set\Control\Time Zone Information\Dynamic Daylight Time Disabled It is still greyed out but is on and on a reboot did change my clock to the correct time.Every country has its own DST implementation policy. Some may not observe DST, while others may change the start dates and end dates for DST every year.My system clock on my XP system will not stay advanced 1 hour for Daylight Savings Time.
